From Cognio to Ekahau Sidekick, did we actually need a better Wi-Fi spectrum analyzer, and why? In this WLPC Prague 2024 session, Kjetil Teigen Hansen explored the evolution of Wi-Fi spectrum analyzers and their essential role in locating interfering signals. He explained how current analyzers function in terms of accuracy and performance, demonstrated the differences between swept and real-time analysis, and covered key concepts like noise vs. RBW and IQ signals. The session also featured a live demo showcasing sub-1GHz analysis and MLO action across all bands at an impressive 3.2THz/s.
