In this presentation Jan Reister will explore the architecture of cable-based antenna systems, the RF challenges(such as electrical tilt), MIMO (IEEE papers), multi-band coexistence (5G), design and survey tools we all use, and L2 challenges (CCI, hidden node). Deployment best practices and examples for difficult environments will be shared, along with an overall operational evaluation. Cable-based Wi-Fi can fit in challenging environments, and should be considered in every WLAN engineer’s toolbox.
