A 3-Staged Approach for Wi-Fi Residential Gateway Testing
What is the trick to getting the most relevant and maximum test coverage in the least amount of time with the least cost and resources when testing a modern Wi-Fi router? Just like any good recipe needs the perfect combination to flavor, color and texture, every good test strategy needs the right combination of repeatability, scalability, Automation and Realism.
This presentation talks about a 3 staged test approach for modern Wi-Fi router testing where we try to balance all these dimensions of testing at various stages of the product R&D and deployment to achieve the most optimal test coverage. We explain how we can start with benchmarking with virtual devices in early stages of R&D and then slowly move on to interoperability in the lab and testing in test houses in the field as we get closer to the release of the products.
