How to Think About Large Public Venues and Stadiums

Have you ever been in a Keynote with 20K people enjoying awesome Wi-Fi? Or at a sporting event in a Stadium with 70K of your new best friends and watch the game on your phone while watching it live to get all the good stats? Once upon a time Wi-Fi in these locations ranged from Impossible to horrible but the advances in technology have made Wi-Fi much more stable than they were back in the early days before 802.11AC became the standard.

While technology has advanced and made some of the issues more manageable, planning and executing for Wi-Fi in Large Public Venues (LPV’s) and Stadiums requires some specific knowledge. Understanding how to plan for, deploy and configure the right Wi-Fi HW and SW components to meet the challenges is what this session will be about.
